About

Hello, I’m Harsh Kanwat, and this space is where I share my journey of self-mastery.

I created this website on December 14, 2023, during a period of inner transition. I wanted a place where I could think clearly, grow consciously, and develop my understanding of life through writing.

I never imagined becoming a writer. It wasn’t a dream or ambition. I started writing for one simple reason: my mind was overwhelmed.

I was reading a lot, absorbing ideas from everywhere, but nothing was organized. Everything felt scattered, making it difficult to truly understand what I was learning.

Then I began journaling—morning pages every day. Slowly, clarity returned. I felt grounded. I felt myself again.

I wrote a few articles on Medium just to experiment, and to my surprise, I discovered that I could express my thoughts with honesty and flow. That experience led me to take writing seriously as a practice.

For me, writing is a way of understanding. I write to examine something more closely—to understand myself, make sense of the world, or work through an idea. Writing allows me to slow down, question my assumptions, and develop clearer models of what I encounter.

Most of what I write begins with something I experience or notice in my own life. A question, a difficulty, a pattern, or a point of friction can lead me deeper into a subject. I try to understand what lies beneath it, trace the underlying principles, and see how they connect with other parts of life.

This is why my writing doesn’t fit neatly into a narrow niche. I may write about attention, perception, desire, relationships, health, training, wealth, or purpose. The subjects vary, but they are connected by the way I explore them: looking beneath the surface and understanding how different parts of life influence one another.

I also try to reduce what I discover to simple, practical fundamentals. Rather than stopping at what works, I want to understand why it works, what it is really for, and where the same principles might apply elsewhere.

You can expect writing on:

  • continuous growth
  • mastery
  • spirituality
  • relationships
  • business and money
  • emotions and the mind
  • purpose and meaning
  • habits, energy, and inner clarity

Over time, I want these essays to become more than a collection of individual pieces. I want them to form a body of thinking—a body of ideas, observations, and principles that becomes clearer, deeper, and more interconnected with continued exploration.

What does self-mastery mean to me?

To me, self-mastery means multi-dimensional growth.

Not improvement in just one area, but the development of the whole person—mind, emotions, body, relationships, purpose, and spirit. These dimensions influence one another, so meaningful growth requires seeing the person as a whole.

I don’t see self-mastery as a destination or a finished state. It is an ongoing process of understanding, experimentation, and refinement.

This website will evolve with that process. As I learn, question, and revise my understanding, the body of work will evolve with it.

You can begin with the essays I’ve already written, or explore my weekly newsletter, where I share ideas and observations from this ongoing work.

If something here helps you see yourself or the world with greater clarity, then sharing it has been worthwhile.
